Grips Black
What kind of grips should I get for my 1911?
I have a Rock Island Armory 1911. It is very basic which is cool. It has plain, smooth wood grips and I am considering making a small upgrade. The whole gun is simply blued, and not every type of grip would look good with that flat black color. If you know of any cool hand grips or a website that you could link I would appreciate it. I am mainly interested in hearing your opinion on what would look good with a simple 1911 like mine. I don't want to only see a bunch of them on an E-bay list, I want some feedback about which ones you specifically like and why.
A cheap price is important too.
Hogue grips are great and the finger grooves give it a very personal feel. Also, they will reduce your felt recoil. I have them on 3 different guns and love them. $20-25.
