why do people keep associating james cameron's film avatar with black people?
i just watch avatar and its a pretty good film. but people say saying comparing the book with white and black people...i dont see it. the neytheri (or however you spell) are native to pandoora and WHITES and BLACKS and ASIANS were all fighting to invade it (so how is it rascist?), if anything they should compare to the olden days where whites and native americans were fightng over america. its about natives trying to keep their world. does anyone see my point?

No, no, no, it doesn't come off as racist at all, actually. No, many people associate it with black people because black people were a persecuted and enslaved group, *considered* a minority, instead of a population, or considered savages, instead of people with a true culture, and exploited the hell out of.
What people *forget*, when they make such a comparison, is that it's not just africans who were exploited, or african-americans, or jews, or palestinians, or any other bloody group. It's a film about exploitation, and its consequences for native people, among many, many, many other themes.
